Abstract
Abstract The precipitation of nitrides which occurred in solution treatment and aging process of high nitrogen austenitic stainless steel was investigated by the use of metallography and electron microscopy analysis. The results show that the precipitating process of Cr 2 N precipitate in the stainless steel during isothermal aging is clarified and isothermal precipitation kinetics curve of nitrides is grained; discussing precipitating mechanics of several precipitates; The crystal structures of nitride precipitate and orientation relationship between the precipitate and austenitic matrix were fixed.
