Abstract

According to the factors that impact the site selection of distribution center, and building a model for the site selection of distribution center, analyzed the current situation of the logistics in Nanjing and inferred that distribution center in Nanjing should be further increased. Meanwhile, this paper proposed the thinking of genetic algorithm to solve the problems of the site selection for logistics distribution center. The conclusion shows that, genetic algorithm can solve the problems of location of the logistics distribution center effectively. Distribution center is a facilities institution which accepts and deals with the ordering information of the Terminal Users, classify various goods that is carried from upper reaches, do the jobs as selected、 machining、 store etc, that based on the order needs from the customers. Distribution center is a Circulation node type which developed on account of the two needs: logistics rationalization and development marketplace. It makes organize delivery type sale and supply, execute physical distribution; these are its main functions. The site selection of distribution Appropriate or not affect the operating costs of enterprises directly. Proper location of distribution centers will result in the cost savings and speed up the flow of goods, increase revenue of logistics enterprises. Therefore, making a decision of the site selection for the distribution center is very important to optimizing the entire logistics system.
