Abstract

Abstract The forming, microstructure, and mechanical properties of laser-welded joints of DC06 steel sheets with 0.7 mm thickness were studied. The results show that the microstructure of the weld is ferrite and a little pearlite under different welding conditions. The weld surface formation is better with the increase in welding speed and laser output frequency. With the increase in welding speed, the ferrite grain size of the weld decreases, and the elongation and work hardening index increase.
