Abstract

Based on contract of Lin County to Lishi K70 + 465 in Shanxi Province, finite element software is used to analyze the stability of high cut slope in loess area. The analysis result shows in the report that the overall slope stability under natural state meets the specification requirement, but under rainfall condition, the possibility of local collapse still exists. Therefore, it is necessary to reinforce the local area by adopting soil nails in conjunction with concrete panels. According to strength reduction FEM, local slope factor of safety is improved and remains stable after soil nail support. This study can provide a reference for design and construction for highway loess slope in Shanxi west regions.
