Abstract

Objective To analyze the factors affecting prescription dose of Fentanyl Transdermal Patch for treatment on caner-pain patients, and to provide a basis for correctly giving ease pain treatment in peaceful recuperation and nursing. Methods For 100 cases with moderate or severe cancer pain who stayed in home for a peaceful recuperation, fentanyl transdermal patch was used to ease their pains. The relationship betwcem pain degree, pain region, sex and age, and the administration dose was observed, taking the patients not feeling pain as the standard. Results The maintaining dose for patients with severe cancer pain was higher than that for patients with moderate cancer pain. But, there was no statistical meaning for the differences on maintaining doses in terms of pain region, sex and age. Conclusions Pain degree is the unique factor affecting dose ot fentanyl transdennal patch, and should be firstly considered when applying treatment of easing pain.
