Abstract

A Tabakoff model of a certain type of turboshaft engine compressor blade was established, and the effects of no, mild, moderate, and severe distortions on blade erosion pattern were obtained. Based on particle velocimetry and erosive wear experiments, the Tabakoff model parameters (k12, V1, V2, V3, and θ0) were obtained. The effect of four distortion degrees on blade erosion pattern and erosion rate was studied. With an increase in the distortion degree, the erosion area of the rotor blade pressure surface is found to move toward the leading edge and blade tip. The erosion area of the stator blade suction surface moves toward the leading edge and blade root, whereas that of the pressure surface moves toward the blade root.
