Abstract

Nowadays Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are most widely used in different sectors of society such as biomedical, aerospace & robotics due to their unique properties. The current studies explore the effect of machining parameters, namely, pulse on time, pulse off time and peak current on material removal rate (MRR) and surface roughness (SR) for Ni-rich NiTi SMAs during WEDM. Both MRR and SR show the similar trend, both increasing on increasing pulse on time and peak current while decreasing with pulse off time.
