Abstract

The distributed integration and local consumption of distributed generation represented by wind energy and solar energy have attracted widespread attention. In recent years, distributed generation has developed rapidly, but at the same time, many new problems have emerged. These problems have threatened the safe and stable operation of power systems in some extent. Compared with the traditional synchronous generator, the distributed generation based on the power electronic converter interface has a very fast response speed and does not have the rotational inertia and damping component inherent to the synchronous generator. When there is too much distributed generation in the system, it will definitely threaten the safe and stable operation of the power system. The generator using the converter has the capability of synchronous inertia, damping, primary frequency, and reactive voltage regulation based on the virtual synchronous generator technology simulates the electromechanical transient characteristics of the synchronous generator. The virtual synchronous generator technology can improve the safe and stable operation capability of the grid after large-scale distributed power integration. This paper provides an introduction about the study on distributed generation to improve stability of distribution network based on virtual synchronous generator technology, and tries to explore virtual synchronous generator control principle for distributed generation with the analysis of impact of distributed generation grid-connected, the distributed generation virtual synchronous generator control is introduced.
