Abstract

This paper establishes an evaluation index system of coordinated relationship between urban rail transit and land use. And the data envelopment analysis (DEA) model is applied to evaluate the coordinated relationship between urban rail transit and land use of Beijing from 2001 to 2014. Evaluation results that are generated by the model are conducive to analyze the change rule of coordination and find out the main factors which restrict coordinated development. The results show that, on the whole, Beijing rail transit and land-use fail to realize coordinated development. The contributing value of ratio of employees to citizens is maximum in the input values of land use system and the proportion of transit trips ranks first in the input values of urban rail transit system, which indicates the unbalanced space distribution of employment and residence and the low proportion of green transportation are key factors that have restricted the coordinated development between urban rail transit and land use. Additional, the improved values of invalid decision making units (DMU) are calculated in the paper with the guide of projection theory so as to provide a reference for the development of urban rail transit and land use.
