Abstract

When acid fluids flow in artificial fractures, some larger pores or natural fractures are dissolved by acid to enlarge into wormholes so that acid mainly leaks through wormholes. Therefore, it must be considered the effects of acidizing wormholes on acid leak-off in naturally-fractured reservoirs. Based on the characteristics of acid flowing in naturally-fractured reservoirs, the model of acidizing wormhole growth, the model of acid flowing and reaction in wormholes and the model of acid flowing in the matrix are developed. The computing method of acid leak-off with the effects of acidizing wormholes is put forward. The effects of net fracture pressure, wormhole population and acid viscosity to wormhole growth and acid leak-off are studied by case calculation that has important meanings for controlling the leak-off of acid fracturing
