Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of conducting and choral education in the Ukrainian musical culture of the 20th century in the context of improving the professional training quality for intending music teachers. Methodological approaches: analytical – covering the methodological and general conceptual foundations of the problem and the scientific analysis of the conducting and choral education system in the Ukrainian musical culture in the second half of the 20th century; cultural approach – in the context of the analyzing the introduction of new educational technologies that are aimed at the subsequent culturalization and humanization of education; art history – in the analysis of art education, which provides a deep theoretical and practical training of a specialist who has a strategic focus on achieving a university-wide European level of humanitarian education.The article examines the analysis of the pedagogical development of prominent representatives from the Ukrainian higher conducting and choral school of the twentieth century.As a result of a scientific research in this problem, we came to the conclusion that during the Soviet period of developing pedagogical principles of introducing national priorities and democratization of education, in-depth professionalization of the content, methods. For the second period – the formation of an independent conducting and choral pedagogy (the end of the twentieth century) – the characteristic is implementing the principle of differentiation and individualization of choir conductors training in institutions of various fields (art, culture, pedagogical universities); increasing the role of the phenomenological and ethnocultural approaches, which required individualization of conducting and choral education, widening the content of education with the values of the national culture.
