Abstract
The results of studying terrigenous reservoir rocks using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) are presented. The studies are conducted using core samples from formations promising for the development of oil and gas in the territory of the Republic of Kalmykia. Rocks of the Middle Jurassic deposits of one of the wells in the East Biryuzak area are studied. The studies are carried out using an NVision 40 scanning electron microscope (Carl Zeiss). Both conventional methods and integrated cathodoluminescence, as well as computer analysis of the SEM images, are used. The microstructure parameters are obtained for a digital model of the core and the simulated filtration processes.
