Abstract

The heat transfer study of a combined wall jet and offset jet flow with different wall jet and offset jet flow velocities are considered. The flow is considered two-dimensional, steady, incompressible, turbulent at high Reynolds number with negligible body forces. The streamline curvature modification of the standard k– ε model is used to carry out the turbulence modeling. The Reynolds number is varied from 10 4 to 4 × 10 4 and Pr = 0.71 is taken for all computations. Constant wall temperature and constant wall heat flux boundary conditions are considered. The results are presented in the form of local Nusselt number, local heat flux, surface temperature in case of constant heat flux condition, average Nusselt number and total heat transfer.
