Abstract

The article presents the results of the study of the hydrogeological situation of the first aquifer of the former test site “Azgir” with the purpose of determining possible ways of radionuclide migration from the underground cavities of the former test site “Azgir” established more than 50 years ago. It was demonstrated that groundwater of the first aquifer lies in the form of separate scattered lenses, as well as a local basin, which has the role of a potential groundwater reservoir. Currently, there are no processes of technogenic radionuclides migration from underground cavities into the first aquifer.
