Abstract

We present a series of transverse susceptibility measurements in Cu Mn spin glass at T<T g in presence of a remanent magnetization σ//z. The quasi equilibrium response of σ to a small transverse magnetic field is characterized by an anisotropy field H A //z. From transverse susceptibility and magnetization measurements on the same sample in identical experimental conditions we demonstrate that σH A does not depend upon σ at a given temperature. Therefore the macroscopic anisotropy of the sample is fully characterized by this parameter as long as σ is not reversed.
