Abstract

In the scientific and methodological literature, there are certain contradictions in the data related to the sensitive period of primary schoolchildren motor abilities. Thus, there is a need to clarify the sensitive periods of motor abilities of primary school age children with the help of analysis. The aim of the research is to study the sensitive periods of age-related development of primary schoolchildren motor abilities. Summarizing the results of the study, the following conclusions were made. 1. There are certain contradictions in the information about the sensitive periods of primary schoolchildren motor abilities in the scientific and methodological literature. 2. According to most authors, primary school age is a sensitive period for the development of flexibility and coordination abilities. 3. When assessing the sensitive periods of the children’s motor abilities, except for passport age, it is advisable to take into account the features of the somatotype and indicators of biological maturation.
