Abstract

This paper presents the observational report of the authors on measured density (ρ), speed of sound (u) of pure liquids of Ethyl propionate (EP), and various renewable oxygenated fossil fuels (1,2-, 1,3- and 1,4-butanediols) and their mixtures at various temperatures (298.15–323.15 K) at ambient pressure 0.1 MPa. With measured experimental data, various acoustic and excess properties such as excess molar volume (), excess isentropic compressibility (), excess molar isentropic compressibility (), excess speed of sound (uE ) and excess isobaric expansivity () have been calculated. The excess and acoustic parameters have been integrated with the Redlich-Kister polynomial smoothing equation. The partial molar quantities and excess partial molar quantities at infinite dilution have been computed with measured R-K polynomials. The experimental excess molar volume is compared with the help of PFP theory.
