Abstract

Pre- and after relaxational electronic excitation energy transfer micelle-bound pyrene (Py) and water soluble Rhodamine 6G (R6G) or Acridine Orange (AO) has been investigated by laser fluorescence spectroscopy. The two-step laser exitation used to studed of pre-relaxational excitation energy transfer from S 2-state of R6G to pyrene excimer. New results on energy transfer from pyrene excimer to dye monomers in ionic micellar-polyion-water systems was reported. Analysis of the fluorescence decay curves leads to determination of the aggregaties number, volume and shape of the micelles. The change of the volume and shape of micelles as result of the adsorption of polyelectrolytes on its surface are discovered.
