Abstract
Aim of research: to study the medical and demographic processes in the Zhytomyr region. Identify priority problems with the aim of forming a set of measures to achieve positive dynamics (reducing morbidity and mortality, increase the birth rate).Material and methods: A comprehensive study was conducted during 2016-2021 years. Achieving the goal of the study involved the investigation of trends in medical and demographic processes among the population of Zhytomyr region.Results and conclusions: Based on the conducted research, it was established that in Zhytomyr Region there is a complex medical and demographic situation with a progressive decrease in the population, i.e., there is a tendency to depopulation against the background of high mortality, low birth rate and negative natural population growth.
