Abstract

The study of the microstructure, microhardness distribution and phase composition of 0,36 and 0,95 mm diameter wire made of austenitic-martensitic trip steel VNC9-Sh after cold drawing was carried out. According to the results of the research, a mechanism for the formation of austenite in the surface was proposed. The mechanism of formation of structural components was indirectly confirmed by the method of computer modeling of the cold drawing process with the calculation of the distribution of temperature fields.
