Abstract
Labeled glycolic acid was found not to be metabolized into isocitric acid under the described experimental conditions (dark metabolism following exposure of the plant to light). The following labeled compounds were detected: peptides, serine, glycine, glyceric acid, alanine, arginine, and histidine. Peptides are early reaction products of glycolic acid
