Abstract

The Nd-Fe-B magnet has been utilized in high power applications. In this context, to implement Nd-Fe-B magnet, it is necessary to optimize key properties such as internal pressure and survivability. For this, it was proposed to investigate the nitrogenation of Nd2Fe14B powders, where they affect the metallic compounds R2Fe17 and RFe11Ti (R = rare earth) and improve their magnetic properties. According to the results obtained in the N atmosphere treatment process, the main phase (Nd2Fe14B) decomposes at higher treatment temperatures, which affects the magnetic properties. For longer exposure times in N2 and 673 K, the coercivity decreased.
