Abstract

Agricultural residues burning is mainly emission source of air pollutants because it is directly emitted to atmosphere without pollution control system. Also, it is difficult to measured the emissions of air pollutants. Therefore, the observation methods are needed for the on-inspection of biomass burning. In this study, mobile monitoring system equipped with proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometric (PTR-TOF-MS) was used to measure the volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The PM2.5 concentration of South-wsetern of Korea increased at wheat harvest season (June) due to the agricultural residues burning. The concentration of acetonitrile and benzene were highly increased at the harvest season compared to the growing season.
