Abstract

In the current study, solar radiation was used to apply the photo Fenton reagent with and without Titanium dioxide (TiO2). Several characteristics were examined, and it demonstrates the efficiency of photocatalysis in the treatment of salt water contaminants by using batch process. One kilometer from the shore, Al Hail North Beach provided the seawater used in the study. The experiment was carried out at the College of Engineering campus, with samples taken every hour while the investigation was kept in the sunlight from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. At the Solar Water Lab, the parameters of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Organic Carbon (TOC), Total Carbons (TC), Inorganic Carbons (IC), pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Conductivity, and Salinity were examined in the samples. The key findings indicate that photo Fenton is suggested as a photocatalyst to decrease seawater pollutants.
