Abstract
Natural polyploid series were found in 14 cultivars and species of Muscari (x=9). Two were 2x, 8 were 4x, and 2 were 7x in Grape Hyacinth group ; and 2 were 2x in Feather Hyacinth group. Tetraploid to 7x plants showed very high percentages of good pollen grains and were assumed to be allopolyplold. Delaunay's “chromosome-dimnution” hypothesis (1915∼1926) was refered to the explanatron of the glgantlsm of chromosomes and somatic cells in diploid M. paradoxum.
