Abstract
Results reported here suggest that malignant human cervix uteri show a doubtful increase or no change in respiratory activity. The transamination of aspartate and deamidation of glutamine show, respectively, a decrease and an increase. No significant difference is observed in the formation of glutamate from 2-oxoglutarate. Respiration in chronic cervicitis tissue does not appear to be significantly changed. There is a decrease in aspartate amino-transferase and alanine aminotransferase and increase in glutaminase.
