Abstract

Abstract In this paper durability and mechanical properties of self-compacting geopolymer concrete using FLYASH, GGBS, Wollastonite, Graphene oxide is discussed. Fly ash and GGBS both are byproduct wastes which are produced in thermal power plants. Wollastonite is natural mineral of calcium metasilicate CaSiO3. The geopolymer concrete mixes is classified ternary and quaternary. In which ternary blended geopolymer concrete materials are Fly ash, GGBS and graphene oxide and in quaternary blend wollastonite was incorporated to the ternary blended geopolymer concrete. Ternary and quaternary blended geopolymer concrete are compared with Normal Geopolymer Concrete. Normal geopolymer concrete is taken as Fly ash and GGBS are 50%, 50%. For four mixes, 10% of the wollastonite is kept constant. Graphene Oxide is Introduced at 0.02%,0.04%,0.06% of the cementitious material. In this paper durability tests like resistivity, Half-cell was done. The % increase in compressive strength for the ternary blended geopolymer concrete is in range 1.64% to 8.31%. The % increase in compressive strength for the quaternary blended geopolymer concrete are in range 1.36% to 14.85%. The mechanical properties like compressive strength, split tensile were done. Results show that mixes containing the wollastonite and graphene exhibit better performance.
