Abstract

The biological activities of two fractions of prolactin with different degrees of aggregation have been examined on the basis of three criteria: the response of the crop sacs of pigeons to local injections, deciduomal development in the traumatized uteri of hypophysectomized rats, and development of alveoli in the mammary glands of hypophysectomized, ovariectomized rats. There was no indication of differences in effectiveness between the two fractions.
