Abstract
From the depression of the transition temperatures of Glauber's salt in presence of sodium chromate at various pH's the average degree of condensation under different acidic conditions has been calculated. The results have also been used to calculate the equilibrium constants of the reactions HCrO4–= H++ CrO42–, 2HCrO4–= Cr2O72–+ H2O for comparison with the values in the literature.
