Abstract

With the current outcry for practical, relevant and hands-on science for secondary students, science educators need to search their local or regional environs for such science. An example for meeting this need could be field studies using our woodlots and forests. Field studies in forestry provide an exceptional laboratory for students to conduct good science. Yet, these woodlots are perhaps the least understood biota, by both the public and students.
