Abstract
The Samuel Merritt University Community Service Honor Society was established to acknowledge students who demonstrate excellence in community service, outreach, and volunteerism. A 3‐year longitudinal study examining specific participant data was collected from consented and enrolled students. Demographic information over 3 years was gathered including age, gender and program cohort of the students. Additionally, trends regarding number and frequency of volunteer hours, and types of outreach services completed were examined. Finally, a comparison of enrolled students vs. inducted students was completed.
