Abstract

This research explores student behavioral engagement in undergraduate online classes in China. The data of 678 randomly sampled undergraduate students from public universities in China was examined and quantitative methods with data analysis by using SPSS. The results showed that Chinese students’ engagement in online classes has a group difference between genders and education levels. Strategies to improve student behavioral engagement in online classes are discussed. This study can help educational practitioners and policymakers develop novel techniques to increase student involvement in online classes.
