Abstract
High-alumina felt can be effectively used to make the insulation layers of industrial furnace lining at temperatures up to 1150°C and for the working layers up to 850°C and gas speeds up to 5 m/sec. The most advantageous use of felt is as the working layer of the linings of batch-type furnaces.
