Abstract

The study was carried out on 42 specimens of human fetuses and newborns measuring 160,0 to 450,0 mm of parietal-calcaneal length by means of the complex of morphological methods (anthropometry, morphometry, vascular injections, macroscopy, microscopy, 3D-reconstruction, statistical analysis). The features of spatial and histological structure, syntopy with the blood vessels, myoarchitectonics, and the shape of the mucous membrane of the common bile duct terminal portion were found. The sphincter of Oddi was detected to be of a glandular-muscular-vascular structure, and its locking device is provided with the peculiarities of structure and relief of the mucous membrane (presence of glands, configuration of folds forming valves), cavernous venous vessels of submucosa, and duodenal «window» around the intramural part of the common bile duct.
