Abstract

The structure of 11Li as a typical example of the neutron dripline nuclei is studied in the microscopic framework of the 9Li+n+n three body system. It is called the hybrid model combining the cluster-orbital shell model with the extended cluster model. The study leads us to a plausible explanation of the binding mechanism of the 9Li+n+n three body system. The binding energy and the root mean square radius can be consistently reproduced. A few remarks are mentioned on the microscopic studies of the new type of the excitation modes in such neutron dripline nuclei.
