Abstract
Measurements of proton total reaction cross sections for $sup 9$Be, $sup 12$C, $sup 16$O, and $sup 28$Si have been made in the energy range between 20--44 MeV. The cross sections show irregular energy variation for $sup 12$C at about 23.8 and 25.9 MeV, and for $sup 28$Si at 30.3 and 33.5 MeV; irregularities were not observed clearly for $sup 9$Be or $sup 16$O.
