Abstract
The influence of crystalline structure on the tribotechnical properties of Mo and W dichalcogenide coatings deposited via vacuum ion-plasma methods is investigated. The antifrictional properties and durability of the coatings are verified by means of tribotechnical tests, and electron diffraction and electron microscopy studies of the structures thereof are performed. It is established that the deposition of a wear-resistant sublayer and coating doping provide a positive influence, substantially enhancing the coating durability and leading to extremely low friction.
