Abstract
The more general purpose of this paper is to provide the student of analysis with a concise and straightforward model of presentation of analytic data. The basic methods can be applied without regard to stylistic category, but the details of presentation apply most effectively to music of the type under discussion. Since the analysis is addressed to formal aspects of the entire work, detail will be dwelt upon only in selected instances to provide particularly valuable insights or to provoke the reader to further inspection of the musical material. Particular attention is invited to the development of general observations through evaluation of the assembled data, which are presented without bias toward any projected results. Consultation of the published score is a requisite for following this discussion. For completeness as well as convenience, both the entire plan of set presentation and the table of set forms are included.
