Abstract
The possibility of directed modification of the functional composition of the surface and sorption properties of a disperse Cambrian clay was examined. The concentration of donor-acceptor centers was determined and changes in the structure and composition of the adsorption centers in the course of the acid-base treatment were evaluated. The mineralogical composition of the Cambrian clay and of the products of its chemical modification was analyzed by the successive dissolution procedure.
