Abstract

Variations in crystallographic parameters for a series of (BEDT-TTF) 2X salts with the length of the linear anion, X, are interpreted in terms of a first-order, volume preserving, shear transformation. All salts exhibiting a superconducting ground state are noted to have anion lengths exceeding the first-order metrical anomaly.
