Abstract
Phase transitions of Pb(Zr1-x Ti x )O3 (0·14≤x≤0·23) ceramics were investigated by dielectric and resonance frequency measurements. The deviations from Curie-Weiss behavior were observed in the temperature range of ∼ 50 K above Tc , and it can be described by the relation l/ε ∼ (T−Tc )γ with the exponent 1 < γ < 2. The degree of the deviation was found to become large with the increase of Ti content. Such a behavior can be related to some kinds of relaxation originated from the compositional inhomogeneity. Around the FR(HT)-FR (LT) phase transition region, anomalies in elastic and piezoelectric properties were observed in the relatively wide temperature ranges depending on the compositions. It suggests that these materials exhibit diffuse transition features.
