Abstract

The influence of the structural organization of a short-fibre filler (effect of agglomeration, average length, orientation) on the strengthening of high density polyethylene has been analyzed. Mechanical properties of the material under impact loads and in tensile tests at a constant rate of stretching have been investigated. The degree of agglomeration of fibres was found to grow with increase in their relative length, and with increasing degrees of filling.
