Abstract
Sb doped SnO2 (ATO) nanoparticles with Sb doping concentrations ranging from 0 to 20 % were prepared by coprecipitation method. The average crystal size of the ATO nanoparticles decreased from 11 to 3.5 nm by increasing the Sb doping concentration. The ATO nanoparticles doped with 20 % Sb doping concentration displayed preferred (110) exposed crystal planes. The electrical resistivity of ATO nanoparticles decreased from 9.47 kΩ cm to minimum of 14.85 Ω cm when Sb doping concentration increased from 0 to 10 % and then increased to 90.79 Ω cm when Sb doping concentration increased to 20 %. The optical band gap of ATO nanoparticles was either increased or decreased, strongly depending on the Sb doping concentration.
