Abstract
This paper reports the synthesis of pure Nickel Oxide (NiO) nanoparticles, synthesized by Sol-Gel method. The structural, morphological, and magnetic properties of the synthesized NiO nanoparticles were studied using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Alternating Gradient Magnetometer (AGM). Formation of highly crystalline face centered cubic (FCC) NiO nanoparticles was inferred from XRD analysis. The room temperature magnetization vs magnetic field measurements in the −10 KOe to +10 KOe range confirmed the Antiferromagnetic behavior of the synthesized NiO nanoparticles.
