Abstract

In the present study, we report the synthesis of Mn0.2Co0.8Fe2O4 Nano Ferrites prepared by a simple and cost-effective method i.e., Sol-Gel Auto-Combustion method. The prepared ferrite material was calcined at 600 °C and characterized by using standard techniques. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis indicated the formation of single-phase ferrite nanoparticles. The lattice parameter and average crystallite size of the nano ferrite material found to be 8.324 Å and 19.5 nm respectively. The bandgap energy of the material is calculated from the intercept of the energy axis obtained by extrapolating the plot on energy axis 1.08 eV. Electrical studies showed that the conductivity increases on the increasing temperature of the nano ferrite materials.
