Abstract

Mn doped Barium Zirconium Titanate ceramic was prepared via mixed-oxide solid state reaction method. XRD analysis confirmed formation of single phase crystalline material. Rietveld refinement of XRD data revealed that the material has tetragonal phase with space group P4mm. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) investigation shows grains are dense and irregular. The dielectric properties were studied as a function of frequency and temperature. Doping of Mn ion increase the Curie temperature as compared to pure BaTiO3. Dielectric data was fitted to Curie–Weiss law and Power law which confirm the diffused phase tranition. Mn doped modified BZT exihibits thermally active ferroelectric properties with a high remnant polarization, coercive field and Pr/Ps ratio.
