Abstract
Several topological indices were tested as structural parameters for a group of isoquinoline derivatives. Distance-based topological indices — the Balaban index and the Wiener number — exhibit significantly lower degeneracy and higher discriminating power in comparison with the first-order connectivity index. Structure-property relationships were also found and discussed.
