Abstract
In an earlier investigation it was shown that the action of iodine on polyisoprene (PI) in solution leads to a marked reduction in solution viscosity as a result of processes of cyclization and degradation [1]. In the present investigation our aim was to investigate structural changes in the macromolecular coils of PI in solution due to the action of iodine in the dark and in daylight.
