Abstract

Structural change of a 4'-nitrobenzylidene-3-acetamino-4-methoxyaniline (MNBA)/4'-nitrobenzylidene-3-ethylcarbonylamino-4-methoxyaniline (MNBA-Et) heterostructure has been investigated by microprobe laser Raman spectroscopy. It has been proved that the position shift of the Raman spectrum around 1580 cm-1 originating from the phenyl ring indicates that the surface condition of the MNBA-Et has a large influence on the relaxation process of lattice mismatching between MNBA and MNBA-Et. It is considered that MNBA-Et homoepitaxial layer is an important layer for achieving a longer relaxation of MNBA heteroepitaxial layer.
