Abstract
Molybdenum (Mo) co-doped (3wt%, 5wt %) ZnO: Al thin films were deposited on glass substrate by radio frequency magnetron sputtering. Influence of molybdenum co-doping on structural and optical properties of ZnO: Al thin films were systematically studied. XRD results confirmed that the molybdenum co-doped ZnO:Al thin films are single crystalline and crystallite size increases with co-doping. Raman spectra showed that Mo co-doping decrease the peak intensity of E2 high mode. The co-doping of ZnO: Al films shows blue shift in band gap energy but highly co-doped films shows reduction in band gap energy. Room temperature photoluminescence (PL) measurements shows the origin of green emission in Mo incorporated Al: ZnO thin films.
